My Zumio has been sitting in my office, patiently waiting his turn, for quite some time. Broad Street’s manager Tashel would occasionally come in and point to him and say, “You’re not actually going to review that are you?” She thought he looked weird. And like he might be painful. I agreed.
But the things is, I love weird toys. When your toy collection is as extensive as mine, unusual appeals. I can be seduced with ease by a toy I’m certain that I will not enjoy a toy. Zumio and I had staring contests at my desk for months.
Yesterday, a distributor visited my office to tell me about some of her company’s most exciting innovations. She mentioned Zumio, and I said, “Wait, this?” retrieving mine from my desk.
She confirmed, and named it as a best seller. And that’s why, today, I finally gave Zumio a try.
Zumio was designed by a single mom looking for a unique experience and a quick climax. It was developed by one of our favorite manufacturers, We-Vibe. Zumio looks sort of like an alien probe. The reason Tashel and I worried it might be uncomfortable is because the vibrating piece is very narrow and inflexible. When Zumio is activated, however, its tip rotates in tiny, tight circles, creating a sensation unlike regular vibration.
What makes Zumio really unique, however, is that the intensity of the vibrations actually DECREASES when the toy is pressed closer to your body. Resting the tip of the toy lightly on your clitoris (or nipple, or labia, or testicles, or anywhere really) yields powerful vibration. Applying more pressure slows down the movement and allows for a deeper, but less intense, experience.
It can be kind of confusing at first, but the differing sensations make Zumio exciting. Personally, I became very quickly aroused, but climax took longer to achieve than I expected. Still, it wasn’t so long it was frustrating, and it probably would have been faster had I incorporated a penetrating toy, or an actual penis.
Zumio is great for solo play as well as for couples. It has a comfortable handle that doesn’t vibrate so your hand won’t go numb with extended play. I would absolutely recommend Zumio for foreplay, especially for people who have difficulty becoming aroused.
Zumio is waterproof, rechargeable, and super quiet. It has eight variable speeds, though it’s so powerful I didn’t make it past level two. Seriously, this thing can reach insane levels of intensity, if that’s your thing.
My Zumio is the original Zumio, now called ZumioX. Available also is the newer ZumioS, for folks who prefer a softer, broader, silicone tip. Don’t let the plastic scare you (as it scared me!) but know that there is another option available!
